Introduction

Intesys Content Management System or ICMS for short is a CMS built in Ruby on Rails by the Rails team at Intesys.

Architecture and Design Choices

ICMS has a modular, plugin based, architecture allowing the developer to choose only the features required for the project at hand. It also makes it possible to add functionality through third-party gems.

Like any CMS, the focus is 100% on the management of application resources by certain roles (backend). ICMS offers no opinion about how these resources should be presented to the world (frontend).
